The Heureka system is a suite of freely available softwares for multi-criteria forestry planning and forest analysis. The system is developed and hosted by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. The vision is that system should contribute to a more profitable forestry as well as a higher biodiversity. The ecosystem services handled today in the system is wood production, recreation, biodiversity and conservation, and carbon sequestration. Analysis methods include simulation, optimization and multi-criteria decision making, from stand-level to landscape and regional level. By incorporating these aspects in one and the same system, a planning problem can be approached in a holistic way.

The system is designed so that is should be relatively simple to add new functionality.

The softwares are widely used in both large-scale and small-scale forestry, as well as in several research projects and for teaching.
