Version 2.8.0

2017-09-07

These release notes are being updated.

Summary

  • The publication server has been moved from heureka2-1.slu.se to heurekaslu.se. If the automatic upgrading does not work for you, please uninstall and go to the Download page here on the wiki to download the new versions.
  • The tactical TPG has been fixed (more issues were discoved after the fixes and improvements published in version 2.7)
  • A beta version of a "Blue Target Class" function in the buffer zone tool is included. This function creates buffer zones of varying width around water streams, depending on water zone protection code (Blå målklassning)

New server for downloading files

The publication server has been moved from http://heureka2-1.slu.se to a new server at https://www.heurekaslu.se. If the automatic upgrading does not work for you, please uninstall and go to the Download page here on the wiki to download the new versions.

New features

New feature (beta): Blue target class GIS zoning tool

A beta version of a "Blue Target Class" function in the buffer zone tool is included. This function creates buffer zones of varying width around water streams, depending on water zone protection code (Blå målklassning)

New feature (beta): LandUse variabled added

For future functionality, a new treatment unit description variable has been added called LandUse (store in forest database table TreatmentUnitExternalInfo). The coding follows Forestand (the Swedish forestry definitions standard). You can add a column to a stand register csv-file, it is already supported when importing as xml-file according to Forestand. Stands with another LandUse-code than Productive forest land, are currently ignored in simulations and initial state summaries, and cannot be selected in the area tree view, but are stored in the database.

Improvements

Improvement: Cancelling initial state calculation is now faster

Improvement: Database indexes added to improve optimization performance

Improvement: Skip unnecessary update of forest domains

The initial state calculation to assign forest domains is no longer done if there is only one active domain

Improvement: Added option to disable asking for automatic updates

The tool "Run Simulation for Predefined Treatment Programs" (used for validation of growth models) now simulates an initial regeneration on plots without trees.

Improvement: Tree list importer will now warn if two columns are referring to the same variable

Bug fixes

Bug fixes submitted as issue tickets

Bug fixes for non-submitted issues

  • Fixed issue resolving treatments when performing a tactical simulation on an optimization
  • Fixed Buffer zone tool not working
  • Fixed map view error under certain conditions
  • Fixed Heureka API performing treatments outside of the specified time span
  • Fixed wrong result types being checked in simulation settings after loading selection from 'Default' or 'None'
  • 'Rerun treatment programs' will now work for treatment units without treatments
  • The habitat model 'Alectoria sarmentosa' now works from Heureka installed from MSI package
