In the Recreation control table you can configure settings that affect the calculation of the Recreation Index result variable, see Recreation model description.

Dead wood category settings

Allows you to control how dead wood should be regarded in the simulations, with respect to recreation.

Dead Tree Classes

The recreation model uses three category classes for the amount of dead wood. The limit for these classes can be modified:

None: Upper volume limit (m3/ha) to be classified as "no occurence" of dead standing trees.
Low: Upper volume limit (m3/ha) to be classified as "low occurence" of dead standing trees.
High: Upper volume limit (m3/ha) to be classified as having "high occurence" of dead standing trees.
If the volume is larger than the limit for High, the class is set to "Very High".

Dead Wood Classes

None: Upper volume limit (m3/ha) to be classified as "no occurence" of downed dead wood.
Low: Upper limit (m3/ha) to be classified as "low occurence" of downed dead wood.
High: Upper limit (m3/ha) to be classified as having "high occurence" of downed dead wood.
If the volume is larger than the limit for High, the class is set to "Very High".

Soil damage

Settings for whether any soil damages should be regarded in the simulations, with respect to recreation.

Avoid Soil Damage

True means that harvesting should be donw with more carefulness to minimize soil damages. This will induce a cost. False if not.

Soil DamageCost

(only if Avoid Soil Damage = True is selected above)
Cost, in SEK per m3sk, of more careful harvests to avoid soil damages.
