The abundance of large trees is an important factor for biodiversity. You can define your own result variables and include these in reports and also in optimization models. Up to ten result variables can be defined for volume or number of trees of a certain species group. A diameter criteria is given for each variable.

To define a new result variable, follow these steps:

# Name your variable in column Alias, for example "Large aspens >= 30 cm".

# Select species in column Species. Currently there is only support for  species groups. Use the option "Select multiple valus..." to include more than one species group in the variable.
