Introduction
Ivent is an application to be installed on a handheld Windows Mobile device. It is used for field measurements of sample plots. The measurement of a plot include the registration of trees (for example diameter, age, height, and species), and site conditions (for example site index and vegetation type). The application can retrieve data from peripheral devices (through Bluetooth (TM)), including an electronical caliper for measuring tree diameter, a height measurement device, a GPS, and a new tree positioning deviced (PosTex).
