Create a New Result Database

To create a new result database, all you have to do is to enter the name of the new database in the configure database connection dialog.

• Note

You cannot create a new database unless you have sufficient access rights to do so on the server you have selected.

To create a new result database for a new project

1. Select New on the File menu.
2. In the new project dialog, click the Browse button next to the results database.
3. Select server and enter login credentials
4. In the Database combo box, type in the new name of the database you want to use.

The database is not created until you run simulations.

To create a new result database for an existing project

1. Open the project.
2. Select Project properties in the View menu.
3. Select the target tab
4. Click the Select Database link.
5. Select server and enter login credentials
6. In the Database combo box, type in the new name of the database you want to use.

The database is not created until you run new simulations.

• Note 2

All existing simulations in the old database will still exist in the old database, but in the result lists you will only be able to see simulations for the new database you have selected.
